Florida Gators recruits predict the 2017 season for UF

The Florida Gators football team will take the field for the first time in the 2017 season on Saturday when they take on the Michigan Wolverines.

Over the last few months the Gators have really gained a lot of momentum not only with the expectations of a good season but also with their recruiting classes.

On Saturday, the Gators will get to show off this year’s team to potential recruits around the country and you can bet that many guys will be locked in to see how Florida looks.

GatorCountry.com asked the Gators commits to give us their take on how they think Florida will do this year.

Here’s what they think.

 

Receiver commit Jacob Copeland-“They’re going deep into the playoffs this year, it’s going to be a great and interesting season for those Gators. And I’ll be there to watch the journey.”

Offensive line commit Curtis Dunlap-“This will be the best year so far of the Mac era.”

Running back commit Iverson Clement-“The only ones that can stop Florida is theirselves.”

Tight end commit Kyle Pitts-“I think Florida will go 11-1 and win the SEC championship and the National Champioinship.”

Defensive back commit Randy Russell-“I think the start to our season won’t be like how we finished last season. SEC Championship, I’m calling it.”

Athlete commit Amari Burney-“I believe this is the year that Florida will finally beat Alabama.”

2019 athlete commit John Dunmore-“Marvelous year, I like us over any team this year.”

2019 athlete commit Ja’markis Weston-“My prediction on Florida this year is they will have a good year, not only because I’m committed there but they also have a lot of returning starters. The head coach and all the other coaches are really dedicated to making the team better. So there’s no doubt in my mind that they’ll have a memorable year. Coaches and the players have worked hard over this recent off season and on and off the field. This year will be a great season, no doubt.”

2019 athlete commit Tyrique Stevenson-“I believe Florida is going to have one greatest season’s ever, we got to much to prove this year. We going to shut a lot of mouths up and make the big upsets. You heard it first from me and I have strong belief in us and our capability this year going into the season.”

2019 receiver commit Maurice Goolsby-“I know Florida is going to do just fine, no matter what quarterback is taking the snaps. I know Coach Mac has them winning and has the do whatever it takes to win mindset. I think they will do just fine.”

2019 receiver commit Frank Ladson-“SEC Champs.”

2019 defensive tackle commit Jaquaze Sorrells-“I feel like Florida has a hard schedule but then again it’s nothing they haven’t seen and I predict another SEC championship run.”

Receive commit Tyquan Thornton-“I think Florida will do good this year because of all the talent they have and I think that the young weapons will play a big role.”

Defensive back commit Divaad Wilson-“I feel the freshmen players will have a big impact on the organization this year.”
