Florida Gators prospects react to playoff poll

The Florida Gators debuted in the initial College Football Playoff ranking at No. 10, but fans around the Gator Nation believe the Gators should be ranked higher.

Besides being upset about the ranking there were several prospects around the country that told Gator Country.com that the Florida Gators should be ranked higher in the poll then tenth.

Gator Country asked several prospects to give us their opinion on the Gators ranking and all of them were impressed by what Jim McElwain and his team has done this year.

Recruit Reaction

Receiver Binjimen Victor-“I think they should be ranked higher due to the schedule they have and they’re having a great year. They just have to finish strong.”

Florida Gators running back commit Mark Thompson-“I think they should be ranked higher than some of the other teams in there but it’s okay because we are still a top tier program.”

2017 Florida Gators receiver Daquon Green-“It’s great they’re moving up the chart. They’re showing teams they’re a lot better then what other teams expected and they will keep it going.”

Receiver Tre Nixon-“They’ve earned it and have played well all around all year.”

Florida Gators defensive end commit Jaquan Bailey-“They should be ranked high than what they are.”

Florida Gators defensive end commit Eric Mitchell-“Great to show everybody what we are about and we should be ranked higher. I will be attending the game this weekend at the Swamp too.”

Athlete Dre Massey-“I think they’ll be ranked a lot higher as they finish out the season. If they win the SEC championship then they’ll be in the playoffs for sure.”

Florida Gators receiver commit Rick Wells-“They’re in a good spot and they a got a good chance this year.”

2017 safety Cyrus Fagan-“They’re going to get better every week.”

2017 offensive lineman Blake Vinson-“It’s awesome. They have a shot to make it all the way if they take care of business from here on out.”

2017 running back Jamari Peacock-“I honestly think they should be ranked high but it is what it is and I hope that this motivates them to show college football they should be up there.”

2017 running back Keyshaun Bryan-“I think they should’ve been ranked higher and nothing lower than number six.”

2017 athlete Devan Barrett-“Well they’re obliviously progressing and that’s all that matters. It’s about getting better.”
