Frenzy Recap Week 15

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are trying to shine on the field to impress college coaches and win a state championship ring before heading to college.

Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games.

This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.

 

High School Recap

 

Offensive Lineman George Brown (6-6, 264, Cincinnati, OH Winton Woods)

Result: Winton Woods is finished with its season with a 5-4 record.

Notes: George Brown continues to remain solid to Florida.

  

Receiver Derrick Dillon (5-11, 175, Franklinton, LA Pine)

Result: Pine is finished with its season with a 6-5 record.

Stats: N/A

Notes: Dillon had over 1,000 yards passing for 11 touchdowns and also has over 1,300 yards rushing and another 18 touchdowns.

 

Offensive lineman Michael Horton 6-4, 320, Atlanta, GA Lakeside)

Result: Lakeside finished its season with a 3-7 record.

Stats: N/A

Notes: Horton says he’s solid to Florida despite no head coach.

 

Defensive end Andrew Ivie (6-3, 285, Dade City, FL Pasco)

Result: Pasco finished its season with a 6-5 record.

Stats: N/A

Notes: Ivie had 59 tackles, 5 sacks and one caused fumble this year. Ivie also has a safety this year.

  

Tight end Kalif Jackson (6-4, 202, Neptune Beach, FL Fletcher)

Result: Fletcher is finished with its season at 7-5.

Stats: N/A

Notes: Jackson had 31 catches for 559 yards and eight touchdowns.

 

Quarterback Sheriron Jones (6-2, 189, Moreno Valley, CA Rancho Verde)

Result: Rancho Verde lost to Citrus Hill 35-33 to end its season at 10-3.

Stats: Jones had two touchdown passes in the loss.

Notes: Jones had 76-114 for 1,454 yards and 20 touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. Jones also has two interceptions on the year.

 

Offensive lineman Tyler Jordan (6-5, 270, Jacksonville, FL Bishop Kenny)

Result: Bishop Kenny lost to Godby 35-14 to finish its season with a 10-2 record.

Notes: Bishop Kenny made it to the third round.

 

Tight End Camrin Knight (6-4, 220, Tallahassee, FL Lincoln)

Result: Lincoln finished its season with a 7-3 record.

Stats: N/A

Notes: Knight had 12 catches for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns this year.

  

Offensive Lineman Brandon Sandifer (6-3, 332, Warner Robins, GA Northside)

Result: Northside defeated Glynn Academy to advance in the playoffs.

Stats: N/A

Notes: Northside advances to the fourth round of the playoffs this weekend.
