It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are trying to shine on the field to impress college coaches and win a state championship ring before heading to college.
Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games.
This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.
High School Recap
Offensive Lineman George Brown (6-6, 264, Cincinnati, OH Winton Woods)
Result: Winton Woods defeated Bishop Watterson 26-22 to finish out the year.
Stats: Brown and Winton Woods season is over as they finished with a 5-4 record on the year.
Notes: George Brown continues to remain solid to Florida.
Receiver Derrick Dillon (5-11, 175, Franklinton, LA Pine)
Result: Pine defeated Northlake Christian 22-14.
Stats: Dillon had two touchdowns and rushed for 125 yards in the win.
Notes: Dillon has over 900 yards passing for 11 touchdowns and also has over 1,000 yards rushing and another 12 touchdowns.
Offensive lineman Michael Horton 6-4, 320, Atlanta, GA Lakeside)
Result: Lakeside lost to Newton 50-4 on Friday night.
Stats: N/A
Notes: Horton and Lakeside finish its season this Friday night.
Defensive end Andrew Ivie (6-3, 285, Dade City, FL Pasco)
Result: Pasco defeated Zephyrhills 35-34 on Friday night.
Stats: Ivie had four tackles and a sack in the win.
Notes: Ivie has 49 tackles, 5 sacks and one caused fumble this year. Ivie also has a safety this year.
Tight end Kalif Jackson (6-4, 202, Neptune Beach, FL Fletcher)
Result: Fletcher lost Oakleaf 28-7 on Friday night.
Stats: Jackson had two catches for 35 yards in the loss.
Notes: Jackson now has 21 catches for 407 yards and seven touchdowns.
Quarterback Sheriron Jones (6-2, 189, Moreno Valley, CA Rancho Verde)
Result: Rancho Verde defeated JW North 51-14.
Stats: N/A
Notes: Jones is now 76-114 for 1,454 yards and 15 touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. Jones also has two interceptions on the year.
Offensive lineman Tyler Jordan (6-5, 270, Jacksonville, FL Bishop Kenny)
Result: Bishop Kenny defeated Baker County 35-14.
Stats: N/A
Notes: Jordan and Bishop Kenny finished in a three way tie for the district championship.
Tight End Camrin Knight (6-4, 220, Tallahassee, FL Lincoln)
Result: Lincoln defeated Gainesville 23-6 on Friday night.
Stats: Knight caught two passes for 23 yards in the win.
Notes: Knight has 11 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown this year.
Offensive Lineman Brandon Sandifer (6-3, 332, Warner Robins, GA Northside)
Result: Northside defeated Cross Creek 51-0 on Friday night.

Notes: Sandifer and Northside are on a five game winning streak.
