It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are trying to shine on the field to impress college coaches and win a state championship ring before heading to college.
Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games.
This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.
High School Recap
Offensive Lineman George Brown (6-6, 264, Cincinnati, OH Winton Woods)
Result: Winton Woods lost to La Salle 29-6 on Friday night.
Stats: N/A
Notes: George Brown continue to remain solid to Florida.
Receiver Derrick Dillon (5-11, 175, Franklinton, LA Pine)
Result: Pine lost to Springfield 38-36 on Friday night.
Stats: Dillon had touchdowns in the loss.
Notes: Dillon has 806 yards passing for 10 touchdowns and also has 820 yards rushing and another 10 touchdowns.
Offensive lineman Michael Horton 6-4, 320, Atlanta, GA Lakeside)
Result: Lakeside lost to Rockdale County 37-14 on Friday.

Notes: Will Muschamp visited Horton on Monday.
Defensive end Andrew Ivie (6-3, 285, Dade City, FL Pasco)
Result: Pasco defeated Central 31-7 on Friday night.
Stats: Ivie had three tackles in the win.
Notes: Ivie has 44 tackles, 4 sacks and one caused fumble this year. Ivie also has a safety this year.
Tight end Kalif Jackson (6-4, 202, Neptune Beach, FL Fletcher)
Result: Fletcher defeated Buchholz 38-7 on Friday night.
Stats: Jackson had four catches for 82 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Notes: Jackson now has 21 catches for 407 yards and nine touchdowns.
Quarterback Sheriron Jones (6-2, 189, Moreno Valley, CA Rancho Verde)
Result: Rancho Verde lost to Poly 59-45 on Friday night.
Stats: Jones had two touchdown passes in the loss.
Notes: Jones is now 76-114 for 1,454 yards and 15 touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. Jones also has two interceptions on the year.
Offensive lineman Tyler Jordan (6-5, 270, Jacksonville, FL Bishop Kenny)
Result: Bishop Kenny defeated Yulee 34-7 on Friday night.

Tight End Camrin Knight (6-4, 220, Tallahassee, FL Lincoln)
Result: Lincoln defeated Taylor County due to a forfeit.
