7 Gator commits make the Florida All-State teams

On Monday the Florida All-State teams were released and several Gators commits and targets were selected to. The All-State teams are chosen by newspaper editors and reporters throughout the state and are classified by Classes 1A-8A.

7 of Florida’s 20 commits made the teams while an impressive 18 Gator targets made  All-State teams for the 2013 season.

Only one Florida commit made the Class 1A All-State team and that was Cross City cornerback Duke Dawson who enrolls at Florida on Wednesday.

No Gators target or commitment were on the Class 2A All-State team but former Florida defensive line commit Travonte Valentine was honored.

Two Florida commitments made the Class 3A All-State team and they were offensive lineman Kavaris Harkless and defensive end Justus Reed who were both first teamer and several other Gator targets made the list.

2015 running back T.J Simmons, 2015 athlete Tim Irvin, 2015 linebacker Jeffrey Holland, 2015 cornerback Kevin Toliver were all on the Class 3A All-State team.

The Class 4A All-State team was also represented by a Gator commit in cornerback Quincy Wilson who was joined by Florida targets 2015 running back Jordan Scarlett and 2015 receiver Sam Bruce.

Class 5A was represented by one Gator commit in cornerback JC Jackson and one Florida target in athlete Isaiah McKenzie.

2015 defensive end target CeCe Jefferson also joined Jackson and McKenzie on the Class 5A All-State team on Monday.

Florida targets filled the Class 6A All-State team led by two 2014 targets in running back Tony James and athlete Charles Nelson and one commitment in receiver Ermon Lane

2015 Gator targets were all named to the team and they were defensive end Byron Cowart, receiver Da’Vante Phillips and quarterback Dewayne Lawson.

The Class 7A All-State team  placed one Gators commit on the team in receiver Ryan Sousa and also placed 2015 running back Ray Ray McCloud on the team.

To finish up the All-State teams the Class 8A All-State was loaded with 2015 Florida targets starting with running back Jacques Patrick and offensive lineman Martez Ivey.

2015 offensvie lineman Jake Fruhmorgen and cornerback Tyrek Cole finshed up the All-State selections for the Gators.
