Florida Gators In The NBA: Parsons Debuts With Mavs

The NBA season kicked off Tuesday night, and with it comes a new year for former Gators. While most alums stayed with the same team during the offseason, forward Chandler Parsons left the Houston Rockets for the Dallas Mavericks in free agency. In Dallas’ first two games, Parsons has averaged 13 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Parsons has also displayed his talents off the court, appearing alongside teammates Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis, in a music video for the Mavericks.

While some Gators make their name in the league, others are looking to get back to it. Forward Erik Murphy, who was cut by the Celtics this week, will be eligible for the NBA D-League Draft, Saturday at 3:30.
