Florida Gators In The NBA: Alums Face Off

In three weeks into the NBA season, we’ve seen former Gators go against one another. Three games this week (Spurs-Warriors, Timberwolves-Heat and Heat-Mavericks) saw former Gators on opposing teams, with Udonis Haslem’s Heat emerging victorious in two of the games. Haslem is starting to get accumulate minutes after not playing the first two weeks of the season due to a coach’s decision.

David Lee most likely won’t play the rest of the week, according to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Rusty Simmons. A hamstring injury has limited Lee to one game this season.

It was a case of mistaken identity for Chandler Parsons this week, as the forward went to get a drink at Starbucks. Instead of his name written on his cup, the server wrote his teammate Dirk Nowitzki’s instead. Parsons posted the cup on his Instagram page:

Finally hit some shots and this happens… #congratson9
