High school basketball finds itself in the middle of the 2012-2013 season and several Florida Gators targets are showcasing their talents this year.

GatorCountry.com takes a look at how some of the potential future Gators are faring each week at their respective schools in this week’s basketball recruiting notebook.

PG Kasey Hill  (2013 commitment) Montverde Academy sits atop the ESPN Rise 25 rankings as the nation’s No. 1 team and point guard Kasey Hill has been a huge part in its success. Hill battled a minor injury last week, but sat out of Montverde’s 10-point win against Orlando Boone.

PF Chris Walker (2013 commitment) Walker continues to impress in his senior season at Holmes Country in Bonifay, Fla. Last week, he had 35 points, including nine dunks, in a 70-82 loss against Chipley High.

PF Julius Randle (2013 target) Randle remains out with a broken foot and continues to rehabilitate it in an attempt to return late in the season. However, it’s looking unlikely that the 6-foot-9, 225-pound Texas native will play in his senior season. Randle is set to officially visit N.C. State on Jan. 26.

SG Grayson Allen (2014 target) Jacksonville (Fla.) Providence is 17-0 and Allen has played a significant role for the Stallions. Last week, Providence defeated Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White 79-71 and Allen finished the game with 23 points and five assists. He confirmed with GC that he would be on campus on Jan. 19 to watch Florida take on Missouri.

PG BJ Taylor (2014 target) Orlando Boone High finished last week with a 1-1 record, but point guard BJ Taylor made the game-winning shot against University High. The 6-2, 185-pound guard had 24 points, five assists and five rebounds in the win. Following that game, he had 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a 10-point loss against Montverde Academy this past weekend.

PG Richard Lee (2014 target) The 6-2, 180-pound guard led Blanche Ely in Pompano Beach, Fla., to a 58-50 win against Deerfield High. Lee finished the game with 15 points and four assists.

SG Andrew Fleming (2015 target) The standout sophomore is having an outstanding season by averaging 23.2 points per game. Fleming, who has several ties to Florida, plans on visiting the campus again either on his birthday in April or in summer once school has finished.
