Allen commits to Donovan, Gators

The Florida football team wasn’t the only team to pick up a verbal commitment on Wednesday as Billy Donovan and the Gators landed 2015 guard KeVaughn Allen (6-3, North Little Rock, AR High), who plays on the AAU circuit with the Arkansas Soldiers.

Allen who is rated as the #27 player in the nation for 2015 by ESPN chose Florida over Arkansas, Connecticut, Memphis, Tennessee and several others. He had more than a dozen offers.

This is the second commitment of the Class of 2015 for Donovan as Allen joins forward Kevarrius Hayes (6-9, 200, Live Oak, FL Suwannee County).

In March, Allen was name the Arkansas Gatorade Boys Player of the Year after he averaged 21.3 points per game, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists during a stellar junior season in which North Little Rock won its second consecutive state 7A championship.
