Preview

The Bulldogs come in with a 3-1 SEC mark and wins in each of their last two games. Georgia defeated Ole Miss handily on the road last game and has also defeated Auburn and Missouri in conference play. Its only conference loss came to South Carolina.

Florida is riding a six-game winning streak after Tuesday’s win at Alabama. The streak marks the longest the Gators have had under Mike White and the most consecutive wins since the historic 30-game streak in the 2013-14 season. Florida was 18-0 in SEC play and made a Final Four appearance in that season.

The Gators were led by outstanding performances by Keith Stone and Canyon Barry off the bench in the win over the Crimson Tide. Barry had 13, while Stone scored 14, including a clutch 3-for-3 mark from three-point range. All six of Florida’s three-pointers were scored off the bench.

Yante Maten leads the Bulldogs offensively with 19.9 points per game while shooting 54.2 percent from the field. He also leads the team with 8.6 rebounds per game. J.J. Frazier is the only other double-digit scorer for Georgia. He puts up 16.1 points per game and has a team-high 67 assists this season.

The Bulldogs are a strong rebounding team, leading the SEC with 28.9 defensive boards per game. The Gators come in last in the SEC in both defensive rebounding and total rebounding.

Florida holds an 111-100 advantage in this series, including 2-0 under Mike White and a 64-36 record at home. The last time the Gators lost at home to the Bulldogs was 2002. Since then, it has been all Florida in Gainesville, with 13 consecutive home wins in the matchup.

The Gators look to keep both of their winning streaks alive on Saturday in front of another sellout crowd. This is the third sellout in four Florida home games this season.
