Braxton Ogbueze to transfer

Florida Gator rising sophomore guard Braxton Ogbueze has elected to transfer from the University of Florida. The news comes one day after Florida received word from Rutgers guard Eli Carter electing to transfer to the Gators this upcoming season.

Ogbueze played sparingly his first year on campus and would be fighting for playing time next year alongside Scottie Wilbekin and incoming freshmen Kasey Hill. Ogbueze is a small point guard with strong handles and a solid jump shot.

A consensus top-100 player coming out of high school, Ogbueze could be a very effective player for a number of schools around the country. It does not appear the Ogbueze does not appear to be leaving for any other reasons besides a crowded backcourt and a probable limited amount of playing time in the future.

The loss should not affect the Gators too heavily next season. Florida now has 12 of 13 scholarships filled and could still potentially add another player to the roster. There is no indication as to where Ogbueze will be looking to transfer, he will have three years of eligibility left at whatever school he elects to transfer to.
