Podcast on Florida Gators AD Jeremy Foley retiring

GatorCountry brings you a new podcast as we discuss the wonderful career of Florida Gators athletic director Jeremy Foley as he announced his retirement on Monday morning.

Andrew Spivey and Nick de la Torre discuss what the legacy of Foley will be at Florida, plus we look at some names that could replace Foley when he leaves the office on October 1st of this year.

Andrew and Nick also talk about the Florida Gators baseball team and how they came from behind to advance to the College World Series that starts this week in Omaha.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
