Game 2 capsule: UCLA vs. Florida

OMAHA, Neb. — And then there were three, and two of them meet today on the Opening Day of the College World Series at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium. When the 64-team field was announced for this year’s tournament and eight teams were designated as the top seeds, surely no one expected that only three of them — No. 1 Arizona State, No. 3 Florida and No. 6 UCLA — would make it through the double-elimination regional and best-of-3 super regional portion of the tournament to get here. Following the 2 p.m. CWS opener between Florida State and Texas Christian, the Gators and Bruins will begin their quest for their first CWS title.
