The Florida Gators baseball team learned Monday that they would be the No. 3 seed for the 2017 NCAA Baseball Tournament. The Gators are the only team in the country to be named a National Seed in eight of the last nine seasons.
This is the Gators 33rd Regional appearance and a school record 10th consecutive under Kevin O’Sullivan. The Gators (42-16) will host No. 2 USF (41-17), No. 3 Bethune Cookman (33-23) and No. 4 Marist (32-21) in the Gainesville Regional and are paired up with the Winston-Salem Regional, consisting of No. 1 Wake forest, No. 2 West Virginia, No. 3 Maryland and No. 4 UMBC.
Florida will kick off the Regional will a 7 p.m. first pitch on Friday night against Marist. Jackson Kowar is expected to open the Regional on the mound for the Gators, with Alex Faedo and Brady Singer to follow.

Florida has been accepting ticket offers, with priority to season ticket holders, via telephone, in person or online since Tuesday, May 23. Tuesday is the first day for non-season ticket holders to purchase tickets to the Gainesville Regional starting at 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online here.
