Visitor List for April 4th-5th

Florida is winding down spring practice and with only a week left the Gators will hold its second spring scrimmage on Saturday, which presents an opportunity for the Gators to host prospects on campus.

GatorCountry has confirmed that at least a dozen prospects will be on campus to take in the Gators scrimmage on Saturday as Florida will look to gain ground on these players.

Many of the prospects that are visiting Florida on Saturday are taking their second trip to Gainesville this spring. Here’s a look at who is expected in town this weekend.

Friday Visitors:

Receiver Shawn Burgess-Becker (6-0, 194, Coconut Creek, FL Monarch)- Becker is making his first trip to Florida and heading into the visit Alabama and Miami are his co-leaders but the Gators will look to change that this weekend.

Receiver Calvin Ridley (6-1, 189, Coconut Creek, FL Monarch)- Ridley and Becker are teammates in high school and want to play together in college so this weekend is big for Ridley as well.

Saturday Visitors:

Receiver Deon Cain (6-1, 190, Tampa, FL Tech)- Florida looked to be trailing FSU early on but this will be Cain’s second trip to Florida this spring.

Receiver George Campbell (6-3, 183, Tarpon Springs, FL East Lake)- Campbell will be making his second trip to Florida this spring but this will be his first time to see Florida scrimmage this spring.

Defensive end Byron Cowart (6-3, 257, Seffner, FL Armwood) – Cowart will join his good friend CeCe Jefferson back in Gainesville for the second time this spring.

H-Back Chandler Cox (6-2, 220, Apopka, FL High) – Cox will be on campus for the second time this spring and the Gators will look to pad its lead for the Apopka prospect.

2016 receiver Nate Craig (6-2, 198, Tampa, FL Catholic)- Craig will be making his first trip to Florida since last summer and the Gators seem to be trailing Florida State early on for the talented 2016 receiver.

Offensive lineman Martez Ivey (6-5, 271, Apopka, FL High)- Ivey will join his best friend Chandler Cox on the visit this weekend for the second time this spring.

Defensive end CeCe Jefferson (6-2, 244, Glen St. Mary, FL Baker County) –Jefferson has become a frequent visitor to Florida and will be on campus again this Saturday.

Quarterback Dwayne Lawson (6-6, 215, Tampa, FL Hillsborough) – Lawson will be on campus for his second visit this spring but this will be his first time to see the Gators go through a scrimmage.

Receiver Tristan Payton (6-0, 187, Jacksonville, FL First Coast) – Payton is a solid commit to Florida but this will be his first visit to Florida this spring.

2016 receiver Freddie Swain (6-1, 174, Citra, FL North Marion) – This will be Swain’s first time on campus this spring as he looks for a Florida offer.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit.
