VIDEO: Spring Practice Update; Defense Holding Steady

The Florida Gators had to call their first rain delay of the spring practice season on Monday.

While McElwain and company wait for the new indoor practice facility to be completed, the Gators were forced to hold off practice an extra day.

So it was on Tuesday March 24 that Florida found themselves back on the soccer practice fields (the area with the new IPF was “just a little too muddy” said McElwain) and for the first time since spring practice started, our focus at GatorCountry was solely on the defense.

It’s been no secret that McElwain’s overhaul of the offense would be where all eyes focused throughout spring ball. But that defense is just too talented to ignore for long, and according to McElwain and defensive coordinator Geoff Collins, the talent is carrying over with little lost from the previous regime.

Both McElwain and Collins updated the media on Tuesday afternoon concerning the defense, where they go from here scheme wise, and of course, how it’s helping the offense.

Watch below for more from McElwain, Collins and your own GatorCountry crew.
