VIDEO: Orange and Blue Debut Extended Analysis

The Orange and Blue Debut lived up to it’s name in 2015, as the Florida Gators were debuting their new coaching staff, new offense and really, new team in general.

Following a spring that saw new head coach Jim McElwain working with a shortened hand on the offensive line, the Gators were able to pull together an actual game like atmosphere for the team.

McElwain was brutally honest following the scrimmage, saying that the offense still had a long way to go. But he did redefine that, saying as an offensive coach, he’d never truly be satisfied.

Closing out our post practice updates and whole team overviews, GatorCountry’s Nick de la Torre and Kassidy Hill break down the Orange and Blue Debut, highlights quarterbacks, tight ends and defensive lineman.

You can watch below for Nick and Kassidy’s analysis.

Then scroll down a bit further to hear what quarterbacks Will Grier and Treon Harris, along with defensive back Quincy Wilson and linebacker Alex Anzalone.

Kassidy Hill
Born into a large family of sports fanatics and wordsmiths alike, sports journalism came natural to Kassidy. It’s more than a passion; it’s simply a part of who she is. Hailing from Alabama in the midst of typical Iron Bowl family, she learned very quickly just how deep ties in the SEC could run. She came to Gainesville after college to pursue a degree as television sports reporter but quickly realized she missed writing. She’s excited to now marry the two aspects for Gator fans. She loves Jesus, her daddy and football; wants to be Billy Donovan’s best friend and firmly believes that offensive lineman are the best people on earth. Follow her on Twitter @KassidyGHill

  1. Good stuff indeed. Thanks guys. Roll Tide? Unless you want to be burned at the stake during the season restraint is key, Kassidy! The secret Bama altar at home is fine…no vocalization during Gator talk; per favore. “Yes officer, Golly, I seen that runaway cement truck headin’ for that lady…”
