Reese joins the Florida Gators recruiting class

The Florida Gators recruiting class of 2018 picked up another member of the class on Saturday evening.

Outside linebacker/defensive end David Reese (6-3, 213, Fort Pierce, FL. Vero Beach) committed to Florida over Alabama, Miami among others.

The outside linebacker visited Florida on Thursday with his mother and this visit pushed the Gators out in front.

Reese, who plays all over the fields in high school, is projected to play the outside linebacker position as well as dropping down to play some defensive end on passing downs.

Linebackers coach Tim Skipper is credited with gaining Reese’s commitment after it was thought that the Gators were out of the running for the prospect.

With Reese’s commitment the Gators now have 15 commits and Florida could add to that over the next few days.
