Henderson has a lot of love for Florida: Florida Gators recruiting

On Saturday night despite the opponent being North Texas, the Florida Gators recruiting visitors list had a handful of big name prospects on it.

Miami defensive back commit C.J. Henderson (6-1, 175, Miami, FL. Columbus) was one of those guys in town on Saturday night.

“The Swamp was good, I liked the defense the most,” Henderson said after Saturday’s visit. “I liked how the defensive backs played, they impressed me like they always do. They have a college atmosphere and great fans.”

Henderson has been a constant visitor to Gainesville over the last few months and that has to do with his relationship with the coaching staff.

“I’m just comfortable with the coaches, we have a great bond,” he said of his relationship with the staff. “They make me feel like family when I’m up here.”

The Miami commit says that he’s paying attention to one thing between Florida and Miami as he looks to make a final decision.

“I’m just seeing how the coaching goes for both schools,” Henderson said of what’s next. “I’m just going to continue to evaluate what school will be better for me for the next four years.”

Henderson isn’t just visiting Gainesville but he has two visits set up to out state schools coming up.

“My next visit coming up is Michigan vs. Wisconsin, that’s my first official visit,” he said of upcoming visits. “I have another official visit when I visit for the Tennessee vs. Alabama game on an official visit. I’m looking to see how the coaches treat me during those visits.”

Right now Henderson says that three schools have really made him a priority but he still remains committed to Miami.

“Tennessee, Miami and Florida are the schools recruiting me the hardest,” Henderson said of the visit. “There is no status with Miami, I’m still committed. They’re telling me that they can’t wait for me to be on the field and they’re wishing I could play now.”

Despite saying he’s committed to Miami, Henderson admitted that he likes Florida and this trip helped the Gators.

“This visit really doesn’t change anything because I have love for Florida,” he said of this visit. “It’s just making things look better for Florida.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Henderson has a lot of interest in the Gators and Florida is running second behind Miami right now. One of Henderson’s best friends is Gators commit Shawn Davis and he’s working on the Miami commit a lot.
