Florida State dominates the Florida Gators on Saturday

The Florida Gators (10-2, 7-1) were dominated by the Florida State Seminoles (10-2, 6-2) on Saturday night in Gainesville, Florida.

Florida Gators quarterback Treon Harris struggled from the get go and was just 16-33 for 106 yards while missing open receiver after receiver on Saturday.

The Gators defense was very good for the majority of the game and freshman defensive end CeCe Jefferson forced a safety to give the Florida Gators their only score.

    • I hate to say it, pains me to type this, but this team very well may be the worst division champion in SEC history, possibly the worst in any power conference history.

  1. There’s only one reason coach Mac left Harris in the entire game and it’s because he wanted to prove to Haskins and Franks we desperately need either or both to come be a gator. Treon was used as a pawn to try and ensure a brighter future. While this loss hurts and really makes me mad, hopefully it convinces either of those guys that they can come here and start immediately. For the record Jimbo is a bum for that last TD.

    • Shameful, shameful QB play. We will be shut out against Alabama.
I’ll call it now, the first offensive play for Alabama, Kiffin dials up a 75 yd bomb to Ridley. Kiffin loves to beat the Gators on the first play. Just watch the first play call from the last Alabama – Florida game.

The reality of how the next few years will go is this – Florida gets into gear offensively, then Saban retires, followed by McElwain getting hired at Alabama. Everyone knows that once Saban rides off into the sunset, the first call is McElwain.

  2. We’re not the worst team to make it to the SEC east game. We might have the worst offense of a team that made it though. It was hard to watch that game slip farther and farther away. It’s also hard not to rag on Treon. The guy looks completely lost to me. Now, the defense played lights out. Most of the team actually kicked ass. Not sure why we didn’t go to the dentist when kicking. Not sure why we didn’t try and toss one into the end zone. I guess Mac knew why, the ball wouldn’t actually make it there…Mac might be smarter than we think. Are we 10/2, right? Actually , the only thing that sucks is losing to fla State. 10/2 is awesome. Treon better go to the GNC store- next week could be fugly…geez Go Gators.

  3. This outcome should have not come as a surprise to anyone. Treon’s performance was predictable. He has appeared in 21 games at QB and thrown for 19 TDs . Having to rely on him alone was the result of another QBs poor decision-making. However had anyone been given a guaranteed 10-2 season after the last coaching administration’s debacle, most would have taken it. We are SEC East Champs, have a world class D, a levelheaded, intelligent coach and a good recruiting class. I’ll take it.
