Florida Gators visitor list for Eastern Kentucky

The Florida Gators will play their final home game on Saturday afternoon when the Gators take on Eastern Kentucky in the Swamp and this also will be the final time that Florida will be able to host prospects on campus for a game this year.

While the situation isn’t great for hosting prospects right now, as the Florida Gators don’t have a head coach, the fact of the matter is that Will Muschamp and his staff have done a great job of handling the situation and several prospects will say their good bye to Muschamp on Saturday when they visit the Swamp.

Muschamp and recruiting coordinator Drew Hughes have been working their butts off selling the University of Florida to kids despite not knowing what next year will bring and that shows with the amount of prospects showing up at Florida on Saturday.

Without further ado here’s Saturday’s visitors list.

Commits visiting again

Offensive line commit Tyler Jordan and tight end commit Kalif Jackson have been at pretty much all of the Florida Gators home games this year and they will finish the season off on the right foot as they will be in attendance on Saturday to send off Muschamp and the 2014 seniors.

Jordan and Jackson both have voiced their support of Muschamp and said that they are solid to Florida despite the coaching change.

Three top targets set to visit

Defensive end CeCe Jefferson and receiver Ryan Davis will be in the Swamp once again as both have been frequent visitors to Gainesville this year including Davis who was at last week’s home loss to South Carolina.

Jefferson who was a big fan of Muschamp’s said he spoke to defensive line coach Brad Lawing on Sunday afternoon and that he plans to speak to Lawing again on Saturday when he’s at the Swamp. Jefferson is still considering the Gators.

Davis has been at five home games by my count this year and while there is coaching change happening at Florida, Davis says he still has a lot of interest in Florida and that he’s waiting to see who the new coach is.

Offensive lineman Fredrick Johnson (6-8, 285, West Palm Beach, FL Royal Palm Beach) is one of the prospects are the rise for the Class of 2015 and he recently decommitted from Virginia Tech this week. If Florida’s new staff decides to pursue him than the Gators have a good chance with Johnson.

Miami commit visiting

The Gators need linebackers in this class in a bad way and Miami linebacker commit Charles Perry (6-2, 200, West Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach) has been one the Florida Gators top targets and he will make his first visit to Florida on Saturday.

Perry has been solid to Miami since committing to them in June of 2013 but as of late Perry has started to look hard at Florida as he sees immediate playing time in Gainesville.

Two top 2016 targets visiting

2016 quarterback Brandon McIlwain (6-0, 205, Newtown, PA, Council Rock North) is considered one of the top quarterback in the country for next year and he visited Florida last summer but he plans to be in Gainesville on Saturday afternoon to watch the Gators game. McIlwain is looking to make a decision sometime this spring and while South Carolina is the favorite for him, at one time Florida was considered a serious candidate.

2016 WR T.J. Chase (6-1, 169, Bradenton, FL, IMG Academy) will make his second visit to Florida this fall when he attends Saturday’s game. Chase is one of the best prospects in the state for 2016 and the Gators and Noles are considered his top two teams.

QB committed elsewhere to visit

2015 Kent State quarterback Jakobi Meyers (6-0, 174, Lithonia, GA Arabia Mountain) will make his first visit to Florida this weekend but Meyers is still looking for an offer from the Florida Gators.
