The Florida Gators take the lead for Joseph

The Florida Gators are hitting South Florida hard by giving out offers daily in the area and that continued on Tuesday afternoon.

Linebacker Vosean Joseph (6-1, 210, Miami, FL Norland) was the recipient of an offer from Florida on Tuesday after he spoke to a Gators assistant coach.

“Coach Randy Shannon offered me today from Florida,” Joseph said. “He said that he liked my film a lot and that Florida wanted to offer me so that’s when he said that I had the offer. He said that I can play both inside and outside linebacker.”

Joseph was blown away by the Florida offer on Tuesday and his recruitment may be coming to end shortly due to the offer.

“I might commit to Florida soon,” Joseph said. “It’s a big offer for me and I like Florida a lot. I also like what I know about coach Shannon because Rayshad Jackson, one of our defensive ends at Norland, likes him a lot and if Rayshad likes him like that then that must mean he’s doing something good.”

One thing that stands out about Florida is that Shannon made sure to tell Joseph that he was needed at Florida.

“Coach Shannon just said that they like my athletic ability a lot,” Joseph said. “He said that I will fit in with what he’s trying to do at Florida because they need athletic linebackers.”

Joseph has never visited Florida before but his teammate and Florida signee Rayshad Jackson has told him several things about the Gators already.

“I know a lot about Florida already, I know they have a good football program and they are known for the academics there,” Joseph said. “I know that Florida usually has a lot of good defensive players on the team.”

Florida isn’t the only school after Joseph as four other schools are recruiting Joseph hard but two teams stand out to him.

“Cincinnati, Mississippi State and Miami are all talking to me a lot right now,” Joseph said. “Florida is my leader and Cincinnati is behind them right now but a lot of schools are recruiting me hard right now.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Joseph says he plans to call Randy Shannon on Tuesday night to talk to him more about Florida and Joseph says there is a chance he could commit to Florida at that time.
