It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects all across the country are working hard on the field to impress college coaches and also trying to win a state championship.

Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks games.

This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.

Also we will give you a few games that involve Florida Gators targets from the Class of 2015 and 2016 to watch as well.

 

2015 commits

 

Offensive Lineman George Brown (6-6, 264, Cincinnati, OH Winton Woods)

Matchup: Winton Woods (5-4) are finished with its season.

Yearly Stats: N/A

Key Players: Winton Woods: OL George Brown and DE Rodney Croom

  

Receiver Derrick Dillon (5-11, 175, Franklinton, LA Pine)

Matchup: Pine (5-3) has a home game against St. Helena Central

Yearly Stats: Dillon over 1,000 yards passing and 11 touchdowns on the year and over 1,000 yards rushing and 112touchdowns. Dillon also has a kick return for a touchdown.

Offensive lineman Michael Horton 6-4, 320, Atlanta, GA Lakeside)

Matchup: Lakeside (3-6) has a road game against Tucker on Friday night.

Defensive end Andrew Ivie (6-3, 285, Dade City, FL Pasco)

Matchup: Pasco (6-3) has a home game against River Ridge on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Ivie has 49 tackles , 5 sacks, 1 caused fumble and safety this year.

Key Players: Pasco: DE Andrew Ivie.

 

Tight end Kalif Jackson (6-4, 202, Neptune Beach, FL Fletcher)

Matchup: Fletcher (5-4) has a home game against Wolfson on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Jackson has 21 catches for 407 yards and seven touchdowns

Matchup: Rancho Verde (7-2) has a home game against Arlington on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Jones is 76-114 for 1,454 yards and has 15 touchdown passes with two interceptions. Jones also has two rushing touchdowns.

Offensive lineman Tyler Jordan (6-5, 270, Jacksonville, FL Bishop Kenny)

Matchup: Bishop Kenny (7-1) has a home against Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Yearly Stats: Jordan has two pass hurries this season and a blocked kick.
