The Florida Gators (8-1, 6-1 SEC) dropped one spot in the College Football Playoff rankings following their 9-7 win over Vanderbilt on homecoming and are ranked No. 11 in the second College Football Playoff rankings of the season.
While Florida’s win over Vanderbilt was less than inspiring, teams previously ranked in front of them stumbling last weekend could have aided the Gators. Then No. 2 LSU fell to Alabama 30-16, No. 8 TCU was exposed by Oklahoma State, 49-29 and No. 7 Michigan State lost a heartbreaker to Nebraska.
Florida will travel to unranked South Carolina to finish up their conference schedule before returning home for games against FAU and No. 16 Florida State.
This is the second of six rankings that will be released by the committee, with the final ranking, and subsequent naming of the four teams that will partake in the College Football Playoff, coming on December 6, following a full weekend of conference championship games.

I’m trying to remember- who has notre dame beat that is any good? People talk about their great schedule but do they have a big win?
not that I’m aware of. All they talk about is Notre Dame’s good loss. LOL
