Gators Need Magic to Flip Franks and His Tricks

He’s sort of a magician. He definitely has some tricks up his sleeve.

Quarterback Feleipe Franks (6’6″, 220lbs) out of Wakulla High School likes to show off these fancy illusions for friends and teammates, entertaining them with his slight of hand. For the most part his “magic” stays true to what can be learned from a book at your local library. But when the Rivals number 3 dual-threat quarterback steps onto the field, that’s when he really shows off his bag of tricks.

QB Feleipe Franks participates in a drill during Friday Night Lights 2013.

Franks is currently committed to LSU as apart of their 2016 recruiting class, and it will seemingly take great enticing to pull him away from Baton Rouge. He hasn’t visited Florida since he was a freshman and says now that he’s solid to LSU, he has no plans to visit any other school.

But the year is long, and Jim McElwain has already shown that he can work some magic close to National Signing Day as well.

Franks says he will make a decision about attending Friday Night Lights as it draws closer.

Gator Country recently spoke with Feleipe about his commitment, his ties to Florida and how he sees the next year playing out.

Watch below for more, and then keep scrolling for highlights and a little extra treat now that we’re all in the magic mood.
