Best of Twitter following Florida Gators win over LSU

Twitter was very busy following the Florida Gators emotional win over LSU to secure the SEC East Championship. After staying quiet for most of the week leading up to the game, players took to Twitter almost immediately once the game was over.

Florida had been taking shots from LSU ever since the game was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew back in October. LSU Athletic Director, Joe Alleva, created the narrative that Florida was scared to play in the game and the talk continued throughout the week leading up to the game from players including Arden Key and Derrius Guise.

The Gators finally had room to talk after traveling to Tiger Stadium and defeating LSU on a goal-line stop in the final seconds of the game.

Johnny Townsend: “LS-WHO? Next stop…..Atlanta! #BeatLSU”

Chauncey Gardner Jr.: “We don’t run from nobody AT ALL ….. Twitter fingers will get u exposed”

Antonio Callaway: “It don’t matter where we play lol!”

Luke Del Rio: “We were scared tho…”

Rick Wells: Running Your Mouth Is Crucial”

Ahmad Fulwood: “Don’t call it an upset”

Luke Ancrum: It’s easy to get on Twitter and say what you gonna do! We do our talking between them white lines! #deadflies Love my team”

The Gators have proved a majority of the country wrong two years in a row by claiming the SEC East title in consecutive seasons. Florida was given almost no chance to defeat LSU in a road game this week, but again would not be denied. Now, the Gators are celebrating and packing bags for Atlanta in two weeks.

Lamical Perine: “Welcome to Atlanta baby”

Brandon Powell: “BACK TO ATL!”

Alex Anzalone: “So proud right now”

Jordan Sherit: “Great team win. Love this team. Love this family. #ATL”

She then interned for Gator Country for three years as she worked toward her degree. After graduation, Bailiegh decided to explore other opportunities in the world of sports, but all roads led her right back here. In her time away, she and her husband welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. When she isn't working, she can almost always be found snuggled up with sweet baby Ridley, Cody and her four fur babies.
