Joel Berry named Mr. Basketball

Joel Berry, a point guard from Lake Highland Prep, was named Mr. Basketball by the Florida Dairy Farmers last week. / Gator Country photo by Mike Capshaw

History was made last week when Lake Highland Prep point guard Joel Berry was named Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Basketball.

The sophomore standout averaged 23. 4 points per game and led his team to a 29-4 record and their first state championship appearance.

Berry was honored to receive the award.
