The buzzer sounded and the crowd grew louder and louder as Nashville Ensworth Academy sealed its victory in the Tennessee state championship game against Memphis Briarcrest Christian.
On the court a 6-foot-3, 180-pound freshman guard rejoiced as he felt the incomparable adrenaline rush of capturing a second-consecutive state championship for Ensworth. The championship meant a lot to him, but the impact of winning that title has shaped his path for the foreseeable future.
