While the Florida Gators are going to have to wait awhile for Kenny Boynton 6-2, 180, Plantation, FL American Heritage, #13 ESPN Top 100) to announce if he's going to be a Gator or a Dookie, there appears to be good news on the horizon. Circle the weekend of September 27 on your calendar because that's when the Gators should be getting their first commitment for the class of 2010.

Boynton, of course, is on everybody’s mind, particularly after a whirlwind week in which he hosted the Duke staff and Billy Donovan and his Florida staff on consecutive nights before heading off to Los Angeles to visit Southern Cal on the weekend of the USC-Ohio State football game. Boynton will make a visit to Georgia Tech either this weekend or on the October 4 weekend when Duke comes to town. He will visit Duke officially the weekend of October 25.

Dookies everywhere are thinking that Boynton is going to be theirs, particularly becuase he’s making an official visit, but in the immortal words of Lee Corso, not so fast my friends.
