Erik Murphy picks Gators over Duke

On a day when the recruiting news for the Florida football team couldn’t get any better with the commitment on national television by Dunnellon linebacker Lerentee McCray, the Gator basketball team got some good news, too, when 6-10, 220-pound forward Erik Murphy of St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Massachusetts selected the Gators over Duke. Murphy is Florida’s first commitment for the recruiting class of 2009.
