The Lake Howell Silver Hawks were favored to end the three-year jinx and win the state championship in 2007. Any team with Florida signees Nick Calathes and Chandler Parsons as well as VCU signee Joey Rodriguez would be favored, but nobody could foresee a championship blowout. Part V of Carpe Diem 2007 documents the Silver Hawks 85-42 win over St. Petersburg Lakeland on the night they finally ended the curse.
