When Alex Tyus elected to return to the University of Florida for his senior season Saturday, the Gators became the odds-on favorite to win the Southeastern Conference championship for 2010-11. Tyus gives the Gators five returning starters who all averaged in double figures from a team that won 21 games and made it to the NCAA Tournament. No other SEC team returns more than three starters and there is no team other than Florida with more than two double figures scorers.
