ShareWalter Pitchford has the green light
Florida launched 40 threes in its exhibition game against Catholic University, and head coach Billy Donovan said all but a few of them were good shots.
Freshman big man Walter Pitchford played seven minutes in the game and managed to hoist up four attempts from outside the arc, despite the Gators having a big lead with only a few minutes to play.
Donovan said he’s got the green light to take those shots, though one or two may have been ill-advised.
“He’s a very, very good shooter,” he said. “He’s got a long way to go, but the one thing I respect about him and I like about him: he’s got great energy. He’s got good attitude every day.”
