For the first time in seven years, Florida will begin its basketball season outside the friendly confines of the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.

The Gators are one of six teams who will play in on a naval ship on November 9, with Florida set to take on Georgetown on an aircraft carrier at the Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville.

North Carolina and Michigan State began what appears to be a new college basketball tradition last year, playing in the first college basketball game on a Navy vessel.
