Patric Young went up for a rebound late in the first half against Wright State and came down with a couple fingers in his right eye.

He returned with his eye swollen almost shut in the second half, but the Gators (3-1) played like they had only one eye at times in a 78-65 win over Raiders (2-2) at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.

Florida turned the ball over 15 times, allowing Wright State to hang within 10 points as the game entered the final three minutes.

“I think any time you win the game and you can learn it’s a good thing,” coach Billy Donovan said on the Gator Radio Network. “We’ve got a lot of things to improve on. I didn’t think in the second half we played with a great level of intelligence.”
