UAA special ticket offer
Call it March ‘Money-Saving’ Madness.
Or maybe the ‘Orange and Blue’ Light Special.
Either way, the University Athletic Association is looking to capitalize on the excitement of post season basketball, and provide fans with financial incentive to already think about next season.
Hoops fans are afforded the opportunity to make an early deposit on 2013-2014 season tickets, and in doing so, not only secure a seat, but also net a 10% discount. The offer, which ends April 1, requires a $25 deposit per season ticket.
“This is such a great time for Gator basketball. And while it is at the forefront of our fans’ attentions, we wanted to provide an early reminder for next season and combine it with a savings, “said Assistant Athletics Director Mark Gajda. “There is no doubt that we will have another exciting team next season, and certainly a very entertaining schedule”.
That schedule is set to include home matchups with the ‘usual suspects’ --- Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida State, as well as conference new-comer Missouri.
But it is the unknown that has fans buzzing. The Gators will participate in the SEC-BigXII Challenge, and host a traditional BigXII power.
Any guesses who?
The University Athletic Association isn’t letting the Wildcat, Jayhawk, Longhorn, Sooner, Cowboy, etc. out of the proverbial bag.
Not yet.
“Our schedule, including that game, will be announced in the near future,” Gajda said. “But I know our fans will be very excited. I hope they take advantage of this opportunity and reserve a seat to watch their defending SEC Champions--- and maybe more”.
Maybe.
Hopefully.
As Florida continues its 2012-2013 march, fans may want to pause --- for just a second --- and think about next season.
After all, it does promise new opposition --- and maybe a couple new banners.
Maybe.
Hopefully.
