ShareTransfer Khem Birch visits Florida
Florida is desperately in search of big men for its 2012 recruiting class with a shallow frontcourt and the small possibility that Patric Young could leave early for the NBA.
On Tuesday, one potential answer to the frontcourt question was on campus to check out Florida’s 79-61 win over UAB: Pittsburgh transfer Khem Birch.
Birch is a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward who has played in 10 games for the Panthers this season. He was averaging 4.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 15.0 minutes per game. He's also a former McDonald’s All-American and five-star recruit.
