PG Wilbekin to miss UF’s season opener

The No. 10 Florida Gators basketball team will be down to nine scholarship players for its season opener against the Georgetown Hoyas on Friday.

Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan announced earlier this week that small forward Casey Prather suffered his second concussion in nine days and likely will miss the game.

On Thursday, Donovan said starting point guard Scottie Wilbekin also will not play, but not because of an injury.
