Roberts resigns to take Kansas job

As Andrew Spivey reported on GatorCountry.com reported late Wednesday night, basketball assistant coach Norm Roberts is leaving Florida to take an assistant coaching job at Kansas.

The assistant coach tendered his resignation on Friday, according to a university press release, leaving Billy Donovan with a hole on his coaching staff for the second straight year.

“Norm Roberts did a great job on our staff the past year here at Florida,” Gators coach Billy Donovan said. “I have a lot of respect for the Kansas program and Bill Self, and I know this is a great opportunity for Norm and his family to all be together.”
