ST. CATHARINES, Ontario --- Lee Humphrey led five players in double figures with 14, as the University of Florida men's basketball team took its exhibition opener over Brock University, 107-51, Saturday night at Bob Davis Gym.

Humphrey connected on 4-7 from three-point range, scoring his 14 points in just 16 minutes. Freshmen Dan Werner and Marreese Speights scored 13 and 12 points respectively, while Al Horford and Corey Brewer added 12 points apiece.

The Gators jumped out to a quick 10-1 with Horford and Brewer scoring eight of the first 10 points. With the Gators leading 25-10 they broke the game open with three consecutive three-pointers from Werner, Humphrey and Walter Hodge to grab a 24-point lead.

Florida led 54-26 at the half.

The Gators’ starting five solidified the game with a quick 18-3 run to open the second half. Each of the starting five of Humphrey, Brewer, Horford, Taurean Green and Joakim Noah contributed during the run. Humphrey connected on back-to-back three-pointers to give UF a 70-27 lead.

UF’s reserves played most of the final 15 minutes of play, putting the Gators over the century mark in the final minutes.
