The Gators played from behind all night and couldn't catch up in the end as they fell to 19-6 overall and 6-4 in SEC play after losing 85-73 to LSU on Wednesday at the O'Connell Center.

Nick Calathes led the Gators with 16 points and five assists while Dan Werner grabbed nine rebounds and scored 13 points.

LSU interim coach Butch Pierre won his first game against the Gators.
