ShareGimme 5: Keys to beat Georgetown
The Florida Gators' season sets sail in just over 24 hours in a high-profile, nationally televised showdown with the Georgetown Hoyas. Aside from the allure of two traditionally powerful programs, the setting aboard the USS Bataan adds intrigue as well as unique elements to the 2012-2013 opener.
On paper, the 10th-ranked Gators appear the better squad and enter the game a slight favorite. Of course, the game will not be played on paper, but rather the court — a floating, perhaps cold and maybe even breezy one. On a night in which the Gators will assuredly be short-handed, we look at five keys for navigating a route to victory.
