On Monday, the Florida basketball team moved up to No. 7 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll, which was one spot ahead of where the Gators were ranked last week.

Florida (5-0) was also the seventh-ranked team in the Associated Press Poll for the second straight week.

This past week, the Gators defeated Savannah State 58-40 and beat Central Florida 79-66. Both games were played in Gainesville.

Florida is also the top-ranked SEC team and is one spot ahead of Kentucky in both the Coaches poll and AP Poll.

Indiana remained the No. 1 team in the nation followed by Duke, Michigan, Ohio State, Syracuse to round out the top 5 in both polls.

The Gators have a big home game this week as Marquette (4-1) travels to Gainesville on Thursday night. The game can be seen on ESPN2 at 9 p.m.
