Billy Donovan only has to look at the turnover column to see that his 19th-ranked Florida Gators are taking defense a bit more seriously than they did last year. He will get a better idea of how far they’ve come tonight when they face a talented Syracuse team led by point guard Jonny Flynn in the semifinals of the O’Reilly Auto Parts BCE Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City (7:30 p.m., ESPN).
