Gators avenge Jacksonville loss

Behind a balanced scoring attack that saw five players score in double digits, the Florida men’s basketball team was able to rebound from last season’s loss to rout Jacksonville 107-62. Kenny Boynton led the way for the Gators with 22, while Erving Walker notched 21 behind one of his better shooting nights of the young season. The Gators (4-1) came into the game down a player, as Erik Murphy suffered an injury to his right knee in Thursday’s practice. Murphy did not leave practice, but the injury grew worse throughout the day.
