The University of Florida men’s basketball team earned its highest national ranking since the end of the 2006-07 season. Current NBA players Corey Brewer, Al Horford, Joakim Noah, and Marreese Speights were all members of the 2006-07 squad. The four aforementioned and six other former Gators have been enjoying success on the court this year too, but in the professional ranks.

Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards
Over the past week, Washington won their first two games of the regular season, defeating Portland and defending champion Miami. Beal scored 10 points against the Heat. For the year, he is averaging 10.9 ppg and 3.2 rpg.

Matt Bonner, San Antonio Spurs
Bonner has played in 14 games for San Antonio this season. He has averaged 4.2 ppg and 1.6 rpg. Bonner tallied 10 points against Miami on Thursday, November 29.

Corey Brewer, Denver Nuggets

David Lee, Golden State Warriors
Lee continues to be a beast on the boards for Golden State this season. He is averaging 10.7 rpg, which ranks fifth in the league. In addition, he is second on the team in scoring, with 17.4 ppg. Against Denver, Lee scored a season-high 31 points on 13-of-15 shooting on Thursday, November 29.

Mike Miller, Miami Heat
Miller has played in every game but two for Miami this year, averaging 3.9 ppg and 2.4 rpg. He was one point shy of his season-best with 11 points in the team’s latest game against Washington on Tuesday, December 4.

Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls
Noah leads Chicago in steals and blocks through 16 games, averaging 1.4 spg and 2.3 bpg. He is also averaging 13.0 ppg and 9.8 rpg. His mark of 9.8 rpg is tied for 10th in the league. Last week, Noah recorded a double-double in every Chicago victory.

Chandler Parsons, Houston Rockets
Houston’s second-leading scorer, Parsons has been averaging 15.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and 3.5 apg. Against Utah on Saturday, Dec. 1, he recorded 19 points.
