Florida Gators in the NBA: 11/28/12

Former Gators center Al Horford is averaging 15.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game this season for the Atlanta Hawks. / Gator Country file photo

Former Florida Gator Al Horford was named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week this past week for his efforts in Atlanta’s four victories. Horford is one of 10 former players who have in action this season in the league.

Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards
Beal has averaged 11.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and 2.0 apg for Washington this season. The rookie has played in every game for the Wizards for the year. Beal finished with the first double-double of his young career when he tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds against Charlotte on Saturday, November 24.

Matt Bonner, San Antonio Spurs
Bonner has played in 11 games for San Antonio in 2012, averaging 4.2 ppg. In the team’s last contest, Bonner scored a season-high 11 points against Washington on Monday, November 26.

Corey Brewer, Denver Nuggets
Brewer has played in every game this season for Denver, averaging 10.0 pgg and 3.2 rpg. In the Nuggets’ latest game, Brewer recorded 12 points against Utah on Monday, November 26.

Udonis Haslem, Miami Heat
Haslem passed one of the all-time greats on Wednesday, November 21. With his second rebound against Milwaukee, Haslem recorded his 4,808th of his Miami career, passing Alonzo Mourning for the top spot in team history. This season, Haslem has played in every game for the Heat, averaging 4.0 pgg and 5.1 rpg.

Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks
The Eastern Conference Player of the Week has led Atlanta on its current five-game winning streak, the longest current streak in the league. Horford tallied at least 15 points and nine rebounds in all four games this past week. He is averaging 15.9 ppg, 9.2 rpg, and 3.1 apg on the year.

David Lee, Golden State Warriors
Lee continues to be Golden State’s most reliable rebounding source. He is averaging 16.4 ppg and 10.9 rpg for the Warriors this season. He currently is tied for fifth in league in rebounds per game.

Mike Miller, Miami Heat
In 11 games, Miller is averaging 3.5 ppg and 1.5 apg for Miami. Miller played in two games last week, scoring eight points and dishing out three assists.

Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls
Noah continues to be a leader for Chicago, leading the team in steals and blocks with 1.5 spg and 2.2 bpg. He is also averaging 13.4 ppg, 9.7 rpg, and 4.0 apg for the Bulls. His rebounding average in currently good enough for 11th in the league.

Chandler Parsons, Houston Rockets
Parsons has been thriving this season for Houston. A starter for the Rockets in every game this season, Parsons is averaging 15.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, and 3.5 apg. Against New York on Friday, November 23, Parsons scored a career-high 31 points.

Marresse Speights, Memphis Grizzlies
Speights continues to a solid contributor for Memphis. He has played in every game this year, averaging 6.1 ppg and 4.3 rpg. Speights had four points and four rebounds against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, November 23.
