ShareFlorida confident going into rematch
NEW ORLEANS – Florida entered the SEC Tournament on a three-game skid, and there were questions about where the Gators’ confidence level would be after suffering a 15-point loss to Kentucky at home on Sunday.
The Gators snapped their losing skid with a 66-63 win over the Crimson Tide in the second round of the SEC Tournament, but neither coach Billy Donovan or his players ever felt they were lacking for confidence coming into New Orleans.
“I think we always play with confidence, and I don’t think that’s a problem for us,” junior power forward Erik Murphy said. “If we continue to defend and make shots, I think we can beat anybody.”
