ShareFlorida expecting fast-paced game
Though Florida lost to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament semifinals about two weeks ago, the Gators were happy with the way they played in the 74-71 loss.
The Gators got out and ran at the Wildcats, nearly pulling off the upset against the country’s top-ranked team with a fast tempo that left defenders swiping at open air as Florida’s guards blew by.
When No. 7 Florida takes on No. 3 Marquette on Thursday night in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, coach Billy Donovan expects to play a similar pace.
“They're going to play fast and they're going to attack you,” Donovan said. “They're great in transition, they get it out quick.”
